Our vision is to create an environment where children encounter the presence of the living God and to walk alongside every child as they grow into mature disciples who love God and love their neighbor, who are confident in their identity in Christ, who worship passionately and are led by the Holy Spirit, and who are learning to live from a firm foundation in biblical truth.
Our Heart
Encounter Kids is the children’s ministry at Encounter Church and our desire is to partner with parents to raise-up disciples who are growing in their faith as they learn about Jesus and the good news of the gospel! We strive to create a safe and fun environment that is engaging and interactive through providing worship time and age-appropriate classes for children ages birth-6th grade. Sundays are filled with intentional and creative ways for children to grow through engaging with God in worship and prayer, connecting with friends and teachers in classroom times, and building a firm foundation for their faith as they participate in biblical lessons–––and having LOTS OF FUN along the way!
Encounter Kids meets downstairs during both Sunday service times:
8:00am (classrooms open at 7:50am)
10:15am (classrooms open at 10:05am)
You Can Expect
● To be warmly welcomed at our check-in station in the lobby.
● Your child to be enrolled in our check-in/check-out system which allows parents to sign their child in or out as a security measure with a matching code connecting the parent to the child.
● Guided assistance by a youth helper into the age-appropriate classroom for your child.
● Classrooms led by adult volunteers that help establish a foundation of faith, moral character. Each volunteer undergoes a screening process to ensure your child’s safety.
● Experience a weekly, biblical lesson while building relationships with peers and participating in interactive learning.
● Intentional worship and praise for all children. We have a Worship Room where kids 5 years through 6th grade experience authentic worship and high praise together every Sunday as part of the service time! Children birth through 4 years old also experience worship in their designated classrooms. At Encounter, we have a heart for families worshiping the Lord together and intentionally plan for children to worship with their parents in the sanctuary every 5 Sundays!

The Ark: Nursery classroom (ages 0-2 years)
Stepping Stones: (3 and 4 year olds)
Junior Disciples: (5 years through 1st grade)
Kingdom Kids: (2nd and 3rd grade)
Wayfinders: (4th through 6th grade)
WayFinders: Wayfinders is our pre-teen class with a curriculum specifically tailored to equip 4th-6th graders with age-appropriate biblical guidance, character development, and fostering a personal relationship with Jesus. This class prepares pre-teens to mature into teenagers with a foundation of biblical truth and confidence in their identity in Christ.
Once your child reaches 7th grade, they advance into Encounter Youth! Check out the Encounter Youth for additional information.
